I had a simular problem with my last pregnacy about 12 weeks into my pregnacy I went out of town for my grandfathers funeral and started spotting. I called the local hospital ER dept. they advised me to stay off my feet and if it got worse to come in and see them otherwise get back home and make an appointment with my doctor ASAP. It could be several things but with me it was low lying placenta which your Doctor should be concerned about which it really distresses me that your doctor advised you to just stay in bed and let nature take it's course. Might I suggest that you find another doctor and get a second opinion. Your doctor should have wanted to see you examine or do an ultrasound.Go to the local hospital if you have to.Let me know how you are doing. Take care!
