This is obviously the most serious type of complication. There should be no difference between the two pills as far as risk of clots. As in an earlier response, with such a problem, you (and your family if you test positive) should be worked up for antiphospholipid syndrome and lupus anticoagulant as well as Factor V Leiden mutation.
