[Birth Control]

I was wondering what the differences between Ortho-Tri-Cyclen and Ovcon 35 are? I took Ortho for 10 years never had any problems and was able to get pregnant after only being off the pill for two months. After my son was born (seven months)I had some trouble with my period, was put on Provera for 10 days to stop the bleeding and my OB/GYN put me on Ovcon 35. This pill never controlled my period. I reported a three week period to my GYN, a leg cramp and soreness that lasted three weeks and blurred vision to my family doc. On May 2nd I was admitted to the hospital for a week with a potentially fatal PE that was located between my heart and my lung. The left side of my chest was almost completely blocked and the right side of my chest was about 40% blocked. I have been through a TPA treatment to bust the clots because they were putting a massive strain on my heart, Heprin treatment for six days, and am now on a blood thinner for the next six months at least. They have found a small clot behind my knee.

I am just wondering if there is a higher chance of clots on some pills? Are the problems I was having true warning signs of a pill-related clot?
