the undetermined cycleFrom: bridget (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Apr 2002 23:59:07 -0500 (CDT)
i am 25 years old and have had problems with my periods every since i started by in middle school. i cannot count how many doctors i have been to in the past two years with this same problem i am currently having. in 2000 from feb-july i had a 'period' and went to my doctor and started taking the shot which did not stop the bleeding. so then she put me on the pill, which did stop the bleeding but made me very depressed. i ended up in the hospital for the depression in oct, and then was switch to a different pill. i was tried on four different types of pills and then stop taking them all together in april of 2001 because i was tired of 'trying'. i then stopped having a period all together for a year until last month, and it has not stopped yet. i have become very weak, tired, dizzy, etc. during the past month due to the bleeding and the glands in my neck are sore. i had this same problems all through college. the doctors keep telling me that there is nothing wrong with me, but i do not agree. i have been through so many test and meds, i am to the point that i dont think anything will help. during the absence of my periods, i experience hot flashes and night sweats. if you have any thoughts or suggestions i would try them. i really do not want to start taking the pill again due to the depression that comes along with them.
