Frequent Bleeding

Hello.....

I've written in about this before, but wanted further information. I did check the archives.

I was on DepoProvera for about a year. I stopped it in August 2000. I had a period three months later, November 2000. I did not have another period until January 2001. I then went until the end of July 2001 before I had another period, and since then, I have bled every two weeks, each time for 4-5 days at a time. I have tried Provera. I can't take Prometrium because I have an allergy to Peanuts. I was also on another form of Progesterone that had to be ordered from the company that made it, but can't remember the name. Still, I had no luck. I went to my Endo Specialist, as he does except Medicare (on Disability), and we finally decided to try OCP's (have a history of blood clots that were caused by a Groshong Catheter). Tried them for three months, but was having some pain in my chest where the clots were, so they were DC'ed. Still, that did not work. We are thinking this is still the result of the DP. Even if that is the cause, the bleeding has stayed on this pattern since the end of July 2001, which is 10 months!

What else can we do? This is getting to really annoy me (more so than before). Would a Hysteroscopy be helpful at this juncture? Can you think of any meds that would work?

I am now really regretting that I did not go with a hyst. when I had my last lap December 2002 for massive Adhesions (Had Early Stage IV Endo excised June 1998....still clear of Endo as of last lap).

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
