prolapse of vagina or bladder?From: Kristina (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 30 Apr 2002 14:24:21 -0500 (CDT)
Hello! 2 1/2 years ago I began to have vulvar vestibule pain, about 3 months later I gave birth to my first child. I was told that the vulvar pain was due to the pressure of the baby. Now, every since then I have noticed that when I am standing or sitting that there is a dropping of the vagina, not sure how to explain!! It looks and feels as though all of the vagina muscles are falling out, this has also changed the position of my pee hole (urethra I think its called). When I urinate, instead of urinating down into the toilet, I urinate up towards the clitoris, it is hard to explain! At times due to the position of the urethra I have actually urinated on the floor even though I am sitting on the toilet! I hope I am making sense!! lol I am wondering if this could be caused by some sort of prolapse of the vagina or bladder? also, could this be the cause of my vulvar vestibuiltis, due to the pressure? I am seeing my Gyn in 2 weeks but just wanted to see if I could be right in thinking prolapse? any thoughts would be great! thank-you, Kristina
