[Birth Control] Switching Pills Mid-Month

From: Emily (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I'm currently on Ortho Tricyclen and have taken two active pills so far this month. My doctor has decided to switch me over to Levlite due to some side effects that I've been experiencing on Ortho Tricyclen. She said I can switch today (mid month) and just start on pill #3 of Levlite. However, my concern is will I be protected from getting pregnant if I switch today? Please advise. Thank you!
