[Birth Control] Triphasil leads to depression?

My first time on bc I was given Triphasil b/c I told the Dr. I did not want to gain weight. Now, 7 months later, I have been very depressed and almost dropped out of college. I am also on meds for ADD and depression(which did not stem from the BC).I just don't know which one to use! I don't want to gain any weight! My skin has always been very clear, so I've never had acne problems. My period has always been a problem. Now, it only lasts one day, and I still have awful cramps, although not near as dibilitating as before. All I want is a pill that will regulate my period w/out depression and weight gain side effects. I do believe Triphasil is a low dose....my friend has had good effects from Alesse...weight loss, which I wouldn't mind. There are so many out there and my Dr. isn't very helpful since he is at the student health center at a very large college. BC is so much cheaper there. Can you help me pinpoint one?
