Calcification Not a Dermoid

A laparoscopy was performed on me this week because of an ovarian calcification which was seen on a recent ultrasound. A dermoid tumor was suspected. During the procedure my doctor found not a dermoid, but a cyst that she was able to drain. She said the rest of my ovary looked as it should.

What could an ovarian calcification be, if not a dermoid? Could it have been in the fluid of the cyst? Also, should I be worried that the calcification is still hiding out in my ovary just waiting to cause me trouble in the future?

Thank you for your help.
