[Birth Control] Ortho Tricyclen question

I am using Ortho Tricyclen and decided to take it continuously for two months (skipping the placebo pills) in order to shift my period. After one week on the second pack, I began spotting and got cramps as if I were having my period. In addition, I was extremely depressed and moody. As a result, I stopped taking the pills and immediately got my period which was a little longer than usual, but basically normal. The following week, I started a new pack of pills and feel fine. Am I protected this month or might I still ovulate?
