sonogram shows fibroid tumorsFrom: Sherry (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 31 Mar 2002 12:43:18 -0600 (CST)
I just got the results of my sonogram, but won't be seeing my Dr. for 2 weeks. Can someone help me understand where I'm at. Lot's of info on the internet, but they use vague terms like large and small, etc. Here's what my lab report says. Endometrium measures 5mm. Uterus is 11.3 x 5.7 x 7.4 hemorrhagic Nabothian Cyst 1.8 x .8 x 2 cm. 4 fibriods, All being roughly the same in size, the largest is 3.8 x 2.8 x 3.1 cm. Also, 2 are in contact with the endometrium. There is free fluid on the cul-de-sac and right adnexa. What the heck is this? right ovary contains follicle 2.2 x 2.3 x 1.5. I know there are lot's of treatment options. I'm 45, have 5 grown kids, don't need anymore, so the thought of infertility doesn't bother. I just want to make the best long term decision. Any guidance will be appreciated. Waiting 2 weeks to get more info is going to be excruciating! Thanks
