2 am with severe crampingFrom: Vanessa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Mar 2002 01:27:33 -0600 (CST)
I had a lap done 2 weeks ago for the removal of a cyst on the left ovary. The Dr. found a benign fibroid on my uterus and cauterized it. I saw him today about the pain and he said it is due to the fibroid work. Is this normal to be in such pain for 2 weeks. I'm on my third bottle of vicodin and I feel my doctor isn't taking me seriously. He said today after performing a pelvic post-op that everything seems normal but did say there seemed to be a little gas still in there. I'm so tired of being in this pain. I tried a heating pad and it has some relief but very little. I'm exhausted, constipated and frustrated. Why does cauterizing the fibroid cause cramping like this? Vanessa
