Pain and Redness near Navel Lap IncisionFrom: Anna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 24 Mar 2002 06:38:49 -0600 (CST)
Hello: I had laproscopic surgery almost 6 weeks ago, there is a red streak that extends down away from the naval incision about 1in. very tender painful when I lean against the sink or bend over. Not hot to touch, no fever. The incision itself looks good, there is no swelling..but it is tender and painful at times. This started bothering me about 4 days ago, without the redness, the redness has been present for about 2 days..nothing is open that I can see. I did have a check up on Wed, the pain started late Thursday. Dr. was pressing on my stomach a bit..could this be from the exam? Is this something that should be checked? Thanks. Anna
