Should I look for a new doctor?

I am seeing supposedly one of the best Reproductive Endocrinologists in my area, but I had a really bad experience last time I saw him and I'm sort of afraid to go back now because of how rude he was. I know when I saw him, he was rushed (last appointment of the day, etc.), but he still did some pretty strange things. He refused to shut the door while we were talking, no exam, and my husband was with me. He said he'd been "closed in room all day" and needed some space. He also told me that if I wanted an answer to a question I asked I should read this article in the NE Journal of Medicine and then come back if I had any questions. . . the problem, when I looked for the article it wasn't there.

He also wanted to "prove" to me that I ovulated so he sent me for a 21 day Progesterone test "to put my mind at ease." To his surprise, but not mine, the test came back with my Progesterone level at less than 1. At the end of our discussion he said "I'm not nearly as worried as you are" and sent me on my way to come back in 6 months or when I was pregnant. I felt like he was patronizing me the entire time I was there.

When the Prog. level came back his nurse called me back and and told me he wanted to do a laproscopy ASAP. He was so rude, I'm not sure I want him operating on me. Was his behavior acceptable? I don't know what to. Give him another chance? Talk to him about how I feel? Try to find another doctor?
