Rachel,
I have been looking into using FAM as a method of birth control and so
have been researching a lot about it. Dr. Braun has written that it is
not necessary to chart while you're on the pill because the purpose of
charting and cervical mucus observation is to determine when you ovulate
- birth control pills suppress ovulation. It is just impossible to use
FAM while on birth control pills. If you are thinking about going off
the pill and using FAM I would recommend that you check out the
following website - http://www.sisterzeus.com . There is also a yahoo groups
site called Fertility Awareness which is a forum for women using FAM as
a method of contraception.
Good luck!
