Re: Long-term Pill use and vaginal dryness, lack of desire, etc.

Keri,

I'm not 34, I'm 20 and I doubt our hormones are naturally decreasing as your doctor tried to tell you. I think that is a load of crap. LOL I have been on the pill since I was 17. For the first year and a half I was normal as far as desire and vaginal lubrication, however the next year and a half everything "plummetted" as you said. I cannot change my birth control method (ortho Cyclen) because it is what my doctor put me on to contain my polycystic ovarian disease and durmoids (I just had a durmoid removed from my left ovary about 7 months ago). I was wondering what herbal remedies you might have tried (or were suggested to you). It seems as though I am never "horny" and it sometimes makes me feel as though I am not a normal 20 year old girl. It can be very frustrating and makes me insecure at times. So any help you or anyone else can give would be greatly appreciated.

Take care, Adria
