It could be an ingrown hair. You might want to try taking the baths again to soak the lump...When I've had them, I've been told to use water as hot as I can stand it.

Having something like this doesn't make you any less healthy.

If you are at all concerned, do call your MD or go to the ER if it gets too painful. I've had them where it hurt to sit!
