The lab can run the test on the same sample and come up with results that are 5-7% diferent. THis is the normal accuracy of the test. The actual counts will vary from day to day as well. The cholesterol is also affected by how long it has been since yo ate and what you ate. It should be fasting for at least 8 hours to be anyway near meaningful. THe platelets could be significant. You shoudl discuss this with your doctor who knows a whole lot of other things about you that I don't. Aspirin or Ibuprofen or alot of other meds can affect the platelet count.
