Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: Blood Test Results" Had my CBC twice within two weeks in December 2001 at two different labs and I am kind of puzzled at the platelet and cholesterol results. The first one(my doctor's office appt.) gave my platelet count at 180, the second one gave 136. For cholesterol, the first gave 181 and the second 200. I am really concerned about the platelets,is it possible for this decrease so much within two weeks.I am worried becos my WBC was low too 3.5, RBC 3.69.(Same results for the 2 labs). I am not ill or anything, not bleeding abnormally. I actually had a colpo/biopsy(CIN1) and later cyrosurgery only 2 weeks ago. What could be going on? Thank you for your time.
