Hi L,
Glad you have a great gyn that you can trust, but a good doc is never
opposed to a second opinion. I'm not a doc, but have a friend with a
similar problem that turned out to be a hernia along with the scar
tissue and some endometriosis that had developed in the scar (she had a
prior diagnosis of endo though). Maybe you can ask your gyn if that is
a possibility. My friend needed a general surgeon and a gyn to fix it,
but your experience may be different. Good luck and please tell us how
things turn out.
