If you go from one pill to another without a break (except for the seven days that is normally done), you don't need a back up method....found this in the archives.

If you decide to stop the pill completely, and you don't want to be pregnant, do use another form of contraception. If you are going to take a break during the middle of a pack and then later start a new pack of whatever you choose, you need to use a back up method for one month after starting the new pill.
