3 years ago i had gastric bypass I lost 180 but still have 60 to loose which i havent lost any in about a year. I had a baby girl 20 mths ago and the preg went well except that i had her early. Last week i went to my surgeon that takes care of any probs i may have with the gastric bypass. I saw him because i was having severe constipation, even when i took mega doses of exlax. He did an exam and told me to go and see my gyn and get a pap because he could feel my uterus when he did a rectal exam. He said his guess was that my uterus had "flopped". I made an appointment but my hubby is military and it takes a while to even get an appointment. I started my period yesterday and last night i woke up in severe pain.. stabbing in my groin and rectum so bad that it almost felt like labor. I know i am not pregnant because my husband is deployed and i havent been with anyone else. My question is.. since he is gone i have no one i trust to keep my children. He returns in about a month.. does this sound like something that can wait another month or does it sound like i should get seen sooner? My periods have been heavy and painful for a few years now, but i didnt mind because before i lost the weight i had non stop bleeding for years at a time.. pain even as severe as it is seems much better when its for 6 or 7 days then bleeding ALL the time. By the way.. what is a flopped uterus anyways?
