On December 27th, 2001 I had my first miscarrage. It was my first pregnancy and I miscarried in the eighth week (LMP). I had an ultrasound done and a scope and the DR said I didn't need a D&C. Had severe pain for a week and bleeding for approx 5 days. After the five days of excessive bleeding, I carried on bleeding for another five-seven days as I would a normal period. The Dr told me to look for a grey-brown clot I did see something during my miscarrage that I thought was the embryo.I saw my Dr and had blood work two weeks after miscarrage. My husband and I really wanted to try again but we decided to wait until after my first normal period. Like clockwork, suprisingly after what I had been through, I got my period on January 29th, 2002. So far, its been like a normal period. First I would like someone to tell me that we can try now that I have gotten a normal period, and not fear that it was "too soon physically". Secondly, I just went to the bathroom, pulled out my tampon. All looked normal and when I wiped, I noticed a little blood, and a fairly large clot.....about the size of a nickle-quarter.....and it wasn't really bloody, it was purple grey color. What the heck was that? I passed something similar to that during my miscarrage. I am worried that I shouldn't try again in just a few days, incase my body isn't cleaned out Please give me an idea of what this could have been? Is it possible I was having two?? and is it okay for us to try this month when this period is over?
