HPV types are a new way of triaging atypical and abnormal paps. We would tend to be less worried about ascus with no hpv types, slightly more concerned with ascus and lo risk hpv and a little more concerned with ascus and hi risk hpv. Nothing more than some form of increased surveillance, ie repap or colpo. Do not worry until you get some follow up
