PMS - heavy cramping - from PCOS treatment? For more information on symptoms and treatment of endometriosis visit www.EndometriosisZONE.org. From: anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 17 Dec 2001 18:39:53 -0600 (CST)
I have been experiencing lots of PMS cramping - I'm 37 and I haven't had this kind of cramping since I was in my 20's, maybe teens even. I do have PCOS for which I've been put on 1000mg of glucophage xr. I've been taking it for three months now. I do not have cystic ovaries but I do have a fibroid which is about the size of a quarter. I'm wondering, is the PMS cramping a result of the improvement I'm experiencing with the glucophage - I mean, is it possible my hormonal situation has improved and that's why this is occurring, or could it be the fibroid causing the PMS cramping? I had a pelvic a month ago and everything was good. TIA Anne
