Vaginal discharge after hysterectomyFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 30 Nov 2001 09:28:25 -0600 (CST)
I am 10 1/2 weeks post TVH, kept ovaries. I have been treated for both bacterial infections and yeast infections since my surgery. I continue to have a bright yellow discharge. No odor, no burning, occassionally some itching. This was cultured and showed klebsiella with no white cells so was not treated. My sutures in my vaginal cuff have not dissolved and my doctor says the discharge is a reaction to the sutures. Does this happen often? How long should I put up with this discharge before I should do something, and what could be done, if anything? Also, since my hyst I wake up naseaus in the morning and my breasts are incredibly tender. It hurts to even wear my bra. I feel pregnant, which is impossible. I used to be on Depo for many years prior to the hyst. Could this be my body reacting to an increase in estrogen? WOuld a progesterone cream help balance things out? Thanks for your time
