From what I have read, it seems like they are both used for the same purpose. My physician prescribed aygestin because I am taking Lupron and was afraid of bone density loss. He said that the aygestin would prevent bone loss. However, from reading the postings about the bad side effects of aygestin, I am afraid to take it.
