Giovanna, If all of the endo is excised (cut out, as opposed to ablation where they burn them), the recurrence rate is much lower. Ultrasound will NOT show adhesions. Ultrasound is good for finding ovarian cysts and fibroids, along with a few other things, but adhesions can not be detected on ultrasound. As for the Ovary not being seen, this can happen quite often, and isn't necessarily cause for alarm. You might want to see if there is an Endometriosis Specialist where you are, or see a Reproductive Endocrinologist for further evaluation. Hope this helps. Robin
