+ pg test and ovarian cyst

Can a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst cause a false positive on an HPT? My LMP was 10/3/01. I just got a very strong positive on an EPT. I guess I'm a little skeptical because my husband and I have been trying to conceive for two years with no result. We thought we were going to need assistance.

I have a follow-up ultrasound this Monday to check on the cyst. I will be about 5.5 weeks. What should the tech be able to see at this point?

Am I at increased risk of miscarriage or other complications because of the cyst? Will it continue to grow as my pregnancy progresses? Will I still need to have it removed?

Also, I have been taken Aleve all this week (about 1 a day) for the cramping. Have I done any harm?

Sorry for so many questions. Thanks.
