First, there is a subset of women who, following discontinuation of the pill will not ovulate regularly. This causes irregular or even no periods. The second possibility is that your lack of periods may be secondary to your own system, since we really don't know what your regular cycles are like. To manage things, I would recommend the following. First, if you are trying to get pregnant, then you may want to sit down with your physician and discuss ovulation and your irregular cycles since stopping the pill. If pregnancy is not an issue, then I would recommend going back on the pill. It is important for your body to have at least 3-4 periods per year. By cycling on the pill, you assure this and it is predictable and safe... Lynn
