[Birth Control] skipping periods every other monthFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 8 Nov 2001 09:13:15 -0600 (CST)
I am 32 years old, have been on the pill for 11 years, with time off only with my two children. My youngest is almost 4 - about a year after his birth I started a cycle where I would skip a period every other month, while still taking pills normally. Then I would go through a time span of normal periods, and then start up with the skipping again. And it still continues, never skipping more than one, but sometimes the periods are so light they can barely be considered a period. If I had had irregular periods my whole life I would not think it strange, but I have always been regular to a tee. What could be going on. My last exam and pap in May was perfectly normal. Have I just entered a new phase? I have searched all over the internet for an answer to may question and can only find info on women wanting to skip periods on the pill, not on my specific question. Please help. Thank you for your time. Amy P.
