I was confused on this as well, When I read this it sounded like he said women over 30 would be better off (healthier) taking the pill (even if they don't need it for contraception) than women not taking it. I'm not sure if that's what he intended or not. If it is what he intended I don't understand. I know they use the 20mcg pill for perimenopause.
