*VERY* long period, please helpFrom: Teresa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 13 Oct 2001 02:49:43 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I am 35 and having some very unusual period problems. (No kids) Until now, all paps normal and periods like clockwork. Last month, period lasted 15+ days (July 30-Sept.15), very clotty, then 10 days off, and started again September 25 - still going today (18 days straight now) Does anyone have any idea what this could be??? The most unusual thing besides the length of time is the amount of 'clots' I have asked my regular Dr. about this and all he said was my pituitary gland 'could be' misfiring at my age - that's it, no check-up, follow-up or anyting, so I am a little disappointed and will most likely follow-up with a OB/GYN. This will take some time, as I don't have one, so if anyone has any suggestions or ideas on what could be going on I would appreciate it SO much!!! Thank you!! (I am doing nothing different in my life, stress level is same, no new medications or illnesses, nothing at all that I can think of different)
