Drugs for pelvic painFrom: kris (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 30 Sep 2001 16:39:02 -0500 (CDT)
I live with pelvic pain that we can't seem to find a cause for (removing endo twice didn't help). I had it for over a year before getting pregnant, and 5 weeks after my c-section it returned. I'm going to give the pill a couple of cycles to see if that helps, but in the mean time, I need to take something to help with the pain and over the counter med's don't help. The only relief I get is from Tylenol 3 and Vicodin. What I'd like to know is if these drugs will become addictive? I only take them in the evening since I've got the baby to take care of all day, so at most I take 2-3 pills a day. Still, is this something I shouldn't be doing on a regular basis for 2-3 months? I hate that I need any pain relievers, but I tried going without them for a day and was in horrible pain the next day. Please let me know if I'm asking for trouble taking these pills. Thanks, Kris
