Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: premenstrual spotting" My periods have been regular for the last 20 years until recently. The last three I have had spotting on one day about a week before my period. I have widespread adhesions and fairly constant lower right quadrant pain for the last few months. I have read that endo can cause premenstrual spotting but I have had several surgeries and there has never been any diagnosis of endo. What else could this be ? I have had a pelvic ultrasound which was normal and a small bowel series was also normal ( this was done due to problems of constipation and abdominal distension).
