Other Possibilities?From: Marcelle (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 30 Aug 2001 16:09:13 -0500 (CDT)
Hi there, I do have an appt with a gyn who specializes in endometriosis and chronic pain as well as one with a radiologist coming up in two weeks. I have had severe pain for seven months. It started suddenly in the lower right quadrant. I had a lap where i recieved some relief. I was dx with mild endo. 3 months later pain returned and continued to get worse. I tried continuos bcp and depo provera and many nsaids no relief. I then had 2nd lap in May no relief this time and minimal endo mostly on the left where pain is on right. Pain got worse mid June hurts all the time with very bad pain on most days. I have no other symptoms. I have been told that during an internal the doc was pushing on the ovary when pain got worse. The pain is very low near the pubic hair line. I have not responded to most of the treatments so they are investigating for something other than endo my question is what do you think the other possibilities could be? Are there any disorders with the ovary that could be causing so much pain? I also have not had a period in seven months due to the depo. I had some small spotting in June when the pain worsened although the pain stayed and the spotting went away. I also have the pain all month long. Thanks for any information you can provide me. I just want to know what to expect. I have also had a stomach and lower bowel xray which showed nothing and the appendix filled well. Thank you Marcelle
