Atrophic endometrium is usually indicative of no lack of estrogen stimulation, which is usually indicative of menopause. In these times, I am not sure why "hysterogram" or more commonly referred to as a hystersalpingogram (HSG) rather than a hysteroscopy. The HSG can leave doubt about the total picture and certainly doesn't afford the option of removal of the polyp if it persists. The hysteroscopy leaves little doubt about the status of the uterine lining and allows removal of anything like a polyp or even submucosal fibroids on occasion... Lynn
