Tests are not always accurate. I have realized that a full 5% of the 4 years of med school, 1 year of interneship, and 4 years of residency were actually devoted to learning how to interpret tests. One has to do it in the light of all symptoms, and physical findings. Also many normal people will have abnormal tests if tested. That is why you never want to do a test that isn't indicated.
