3 days pos. LH surgeFrom: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 02 Aug 2001 17:31:40 -0400
Hi - I have been using ovulation predictor kits for the past eight months while trying to conceive. I have noticed on several occasions that I have multiple days of a positive LH surge before my temperature rises. This month, I have had three days of a positive LH surge, and my temperature has yet to rise. My husband and I are having intercourse on the evening of each day that the LH surge is positive. Other months, I might have two days and again sometimes three days of a positive LH surge. Is it normal to have so many days of a positive reading before ovulating? I can definitely feel my ovaries are tender and my cervical discharge is like egg-whites, so I know my body is saying, "This is the time to try!" and I know that my temperature should rise any morning now. One month, I noticed that my temperature did not rise for three days after a positive LH surge. Is this normal? Please let me know any information you can about the frequency of days that the LH surge is positive and any potential problems that a woman may have, if any, due to extended days of a positive LH surge and a delayed rise in temperature after a positive LH surge. Thanks, Mary
