I am not sure that it is possible to manually dilate a cervix from 5cm to 10cm in one fell swoop, but if you did, a cervical laceration would almost certainly occur. However, these lacerations, at least when they occur naturally, heal without incident in my experience, though sometimes stitching is required to control the bleeding. I am not sure what problems having a cerical laceration could cause. What is she experiencing?
