You could have a different, more aggressive strain of the virus, or there could be something up with your immune system to make you more vulnerable. Strains, or serotypes, of the a viral species are like breeds of dog. They are all dogs, but they range widely in appearance and behaviour. They are finding new ones all the time, but the last I heard, there were getting close to 100 different serotypes. Some are more likely to cause warts than others, and some are more closely associated with genital tract cancers, and most don't do anything at all. Treatments are not all that satisfactory. You can either treat them with a causitic substance like Aldara or Condylox, or have them treated surgically with freezing or electrocautery or laser.
