Daniel Braun, MD: "Re: postpartum irregular period while on pill" I had a c-section 15 weeks ago and had absolutely no lochia. Exactly four weeks after that, I started my period. I started my birth control pills, Ortho-Cyclen on the following Sunday. My period lasted 4 weeks (not heavy, but some flow every day)until it was almost time to get my period again. That second period lasted about 10 days, and since then I have had spotting or a regular period-like flow 4 or 5 days out of every week.
