HS and PCOS

recently i visited a web site for PCOS and found that Hidradenitis Suppurativa was listed as a new finding in relation to PCOS. a lot of people are doing their own research into HS and its causes because doctors are just giving us steroids or anti-biotics that are not working or cause too many other side effects. i have all the things for PCOS that were listed on that site such as alopeica, hirtuism, skin tags, brown patches of skin on nape of neck and other areas such as underarms and under breasts, HS, irregular and heavy/extended periods (8-9 days), pelvic pain week before period and during ovulation, etc. i was wondering if you could point me in a direction to check things out. many many peopl have HS and recently we discovered that a GREAT number of the women in our 1000 person support group have PCOS or are being tested for it. i realise that men get HS too and they cannot have PCOS, but there was a lot of info about the liver and androgens (androDens?) that can cause problems within our bodies and relate to PCOS. any of your help or opinions would be greatly appreciated! HS is a debilitating disease and surgery can knock someone off work for 5 months or more. it is painful and progressive yet we cannot find anyone to help us out! thanks!
