Possible miscarriage?

My husband and I are trying to conceive and we've been using a fertility monitor that showed my peak feritility within a few days after my period ended. (first day of last period was 12 May, and ended May 17th; periods normally 6 weeks apart.) I know feritility days and pregnancy signs are different for every woman. About a week after our last try for conception, I began feeling tired, moody, light headed, and had very tender breasts. 01 June my husband and I went on vacation and as we were travelling, I began to have really bad cramps, and very heavy bleeding, passing clots for the next week. During the last day of my bleeding, I began to feel achey and ended up running a fever. I had no chance to visit my OB/GYN until a few weeks later and when I told her of this, I felt like she blew me off more than listened, telling me there was no way I could've been pregnant. She lectured me about going to an ER and taking a pregnancy test if I suspected a miscarriage. However, at the time this was happening, I didn't know if I was pregnant or not and was waiting until my first missed period. After our return home, I began to wonder if I really was, and that was my reason for bringing it up during my visit with my OB/GYN. They also did an exam and they noted that my cervix was tender and bled a little when they tried to take a sample (I made sure that my husband and I didn't have sex for a while before my exam). Am I just being too pigheaded to listen to her, or do I have some validity in my suspicions about her diagnosis?
