My doctor switched my birth controls pills a few months back to a lower dose so i could do continuous active pills and have my period once every 3 to 4 months. i started having some breakthrough bleeding so he changed them again. i had my period for 3 weeks straight, then had a 2 week break and it started again. so he switched my pills again. i am now on Ortho-Cept and have been for 2 weeks and the whole time i have still been having my period. when i question this they tell me its because its a new pill. i am going crazy and need a break from my period. is there a prescription i can ask him to prescribe me to make this stop so i can have a break? or any other suggestions to make it stop? someone told me to try taking 3 birth control pills in one day and that may work. is this true and is it safe? i would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you Jaime
