ammniocentesisFrom: Victoria (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Jun 2001 22:30:15 -0500 (CDT)
Hello everyone. I have a couple quick questions. Is an ammniocentesis routinely done or is it only done if the health care provider feels that there are risk factors with the pregnancy and wants to rule them out? I have heard that an ammnio can 100% determine the sex of the baby. How? If the parents do not wish to know the baby's sex can they have that part of the results withheld from them? Thanks for reading this and for any help you can offer.
