5 week long...periods.From: Ryan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Jun 2001 09:45:05 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I have a question that I am sure has been asked before but every person is different. I've had irregular periods since I have been eleven. I am now 23 going on 24. I was going to an infertility clinic for a while and have had and HSG done which showed no blockage or scarring. My point is though, I will have extended periods. For example I just had one for close to 5 weeks straight with a medium to heavy flow. I have discussed it with doctors who have run hormone tests, taken blood and find nothing wrong...however I know this is not normal. I have never been on birth control nor am I now nor want to be due to the fact we are trying to have children. We have stopped going to the infertility clinic due to moving out of the state. Any idea on what could be causing this. I don't experience painful cramping for the most part and if I do it is just the normal type cramps. Any help would be appreciated.
