Holly, The most common findings in somebody with rectal itching is either a hemorrhoid or an anal fissure (very small tear). The treatment for this is to use a fiber containing laxitive like fiber-con (two tablets twice per day with a whole glass of water). This changes the bowel consistency and allows the area to heal. If after trying this for a while, things don't get better, then I would have the area examined... Lynn
