delayed period with OrthoFrom: Adrienne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 17 Jun 2001 03:42:11 -0500 (CDT)
I am on Ortho tri-cyclen. I had heard about starting up a new pack and skipping the placebos would prevent your period from occuring. I did this and it worked, but a week later I started to bleed...less than a normal period, but for a longer period of time. I am still very lightly bleeding, and ideally should be getting my "normal" period the week after (if i don't get a period, and am on placebos, am I still safe from getting pregnant?). I'm a little worried, is this normal? and will I get another period soon? by taking the packs back to back, are the chances of pregnancy heightened any? and how do I prevent this from happening again and still preventing any bleeding from occuring? Thanks!!
