?Normal Sperm Count/TTC

Hello and good day to all,

My husband and I have tried without success to have our first baby since October. We are in our early 40's. In September, I had a D&C, hysteroscopy, and laproscopy with chromotubation all normal. I have been using a OPK, Clearplan Easy, that shows I do ovulate at least every other month, the other tests are inconclusive showing that I have a rise in LH, but no apparent surge. Although every month I do have ovulation symptoms, pain and +CM. Before I went back to the GYN, I asked my husband to have a sperm count which came back 54 million with 50% mobile. His doctor recommended that we reduce "baby dancing" from every other day to every 4 or 5 days and DH to switch to boxer shorts. After these measures, his count had risen to 90 million with 60% motility. We were very happy with that but I still have not gotten pregnant in 4 more months and have since read that really fertile sperm levels are usually much higher in the 150-200 million range. Are there measures that raise sperm counts, is Clomid used for this purpose? Should I see my GYN again about the irregular ovulations before my annual? We would like to try all options before consulting a REI.

Thanks In Advance for all replies.
